Best season: fall. Fall offers the campground's most dramatic scenery — daytime highs commonly range from about 45–60°F (cool nights 25–40°F) and the maple, birch, and beech canopy turns brilliant late September through early October. Hiking, photography, and wildlife viewing are at their peak as clear air and lower humidity make summit and riverside views exceptional, and brook trout fishing often improves with cooler water. Expect higher visitation on weekends and peak foliage weekends; visiting midweek or the 1 Peak months: October, September, July, August
