Best season: fall. Fall brings the most comfortable weather and the best overall experience at Cane Campground — daytime highs typically range from the mid-50s to mid-70s°F with lower humidity and cool, crisp nights in the 40s–50s°F. Autumn accentuates the longleaf pine understory and red-clay trails with golden and russet tones, and conditions are ideal for hikes, creek-side exploring, and wildlife viewing without the peak summer bugs or heat. Crowds are moderate (better than peak summer weekends), but be aware:秋 Peak months: October, November, April, March
Overview: 'Fall brings the most comfortable weather' with mid-50s to mid-70s°F.

The Cane campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Visitors must physically arrive at the campsite to claim a site and potentially use the Scan and Pay feature via the Recreation.gov mobile app. However, since cellular service may be limited in the area, downloading the app prior to arrival is strongly advised.
