Best season: summer. Summer offers the most reliable warm, dry weather (daytime highs typically in the mid-70s to mid-80s°F, nights in the mid-40s to mid-50s°F) and calm mornings that are ideal for boating, swimming, and fishing on Marten Creek. Water-based activities are at their peak and the tree-shaded sites make afternoons comfortable; with only six developed campsites, expect weekends to fill but overall crowd levels remain low-to-moderate. Be prepared for occasional regional fire restrictions during dry spells Peak months: July, August, June, September Avoid: December, January, February
Seasonal notes: 'Summer delivers the most reliable conditions' with pleasant daytime temps.
Marten Creek Campground is a small, less-visited site containing six developed campsites (four of which have shelters), fire rings, and picnic tables. The site is suitable for RVs up to 32 feet in length. A notable feature of the campground is one group site that accommodates up to 45 people, equipped with a large shelter housing three tables underneath its pavilion. Infrastructure includes gravel roads throughout and a developed boat launch with a dock.
