Fall is peak season. October brings daytime highs in the mid-50s to low-70s°F with mornings dropping to the 30s and 40s. Foliage peaks during this window, and waterfalls still run strong after summer. Weekdays stay quiet, but expect crowds on leaf-peeping weekends. Spring offers wildflowers and comfortable hiking temps. Summer gets warm and humid, though mornings work for trails and the lake offers relief. Winter can produce icy waterfalls and mist, but you'll need rain gear.
Fall is peak: foliage peak plus strong waterfalls; consistently highlighted by reviewers.
