Rigs over 30 feet will fight the narrow loops and short pull-ins. Site 37 is essentially overflow parking. Winter trips risk road closures from ice, and trails turn slick, so check conditions before committing.
Compare with similar sites, watch availability, and build a packing list — Camp Sage handles all of it.
Fall delivers the park's signature experience: crisp, clear days with dramatic peak foliage and long vistas from the overlooks. October temperatures typically hit 50s-60s°F during the day, dropping to 30s-40s°F at night. Good for daytime hiking and photography without summer heat. Fall weekends get busy; midweek visits are quieter. Winter occasionally brings snow and ice. The park sometimes closes the access road during icy conditions, so check weather before heading up. Summer offers cooler temperatures than the valleys below, with afternoon thunderstorms rolling across the peaks.
