Go if

Birders, kayakers, and anyone chasing a quiet coastal site with electric and water hookups will find the shaded, roomy sites worth booking early. Fall is the sweet spot: migratory shorebirds, cooler temps, and far fewer mosquitoes than summer.

Skip if

Full-hookup RVers will hit a wall here: no sewer at sites, a narrow one-way entry road, and some south-side sites that flood after heavy rain. Pets aren't allowed, and several boardwalks are still closed from Hurricane Sally recovery.
