RVs have no hookups and no dump station, so this isn't your stop. Dog owners should also know pets aren't allowed on trails or beaches, which limits a lot of the best exploring here.
Compare with similar sites, watch availability, and build a packing list — Camp Sage handles all of it.
Fall is the standout season. September and October bring daytime highs in the mid-40s to mid-60s°F, clearer skies than summer, and fewer crowds. The fog retreats more reliably, opening up ocean views and making trails drier for hiking. Wildlife viewing stays strong as seabirds and shore animals remain active without the fog blocking sightlines. Summer runs cooler than inland, typically 40-65°F, but expect morning fog that can linger. Winter stays mild at 35-55°F. The campground operates year-round.
September–October bring clearer skies, fewer crowds and better ocean views.

Agate Campground offers a wide range of amenities to campers, including spacious campsites often described as private and surrounded by shrubbery. Amenities include flush toilets, hot showers (coin-operated, $1 per minute), and potable water. Shower facilities are described as clean, though some reviews note that the coin exchange for showers is inconveniently located a mile away at the ranger station. Firewood is available for purchase at $8 per bundle. Bear-resistant food lockers are provided, which is mandatory for food storage due to wildlife activity, particularly raccoons and bears. "Beware the trash panda's," one user wrote, "we had a few visit while we were sitting around the campfire."
