Natural Features and SceneryThe campground occupies a canyon landscape where the Salmon River cuts through steep, forested slopes. Douglas fir dominates the canopy, and Sites A, B, and C open onto large grassy meadows that provide space for games and activities. Site D overlooks the river itself. At 1,158 feet elevation, the area supports black bears, Roosevelt elk, and bald eagles. The Marble Mountain Wilderness rises nearby, visible from the campground.
