Best season: summer. Summer offers the most reliable access and the best weather — expect warm days in the low 80s°F and cool nights in the mid-50s°F at 7,100 ft, ideal for day hikes and evening campfires. Hiking, fishing on Noble Creek, and wildlife viewing are at their peak, with long daylight hours and clear, starry nights for stargazing. Weekends can be moderately busy (especially July–August); reservations begin June 27 and a short FCFS window is open June 21–27, so plan accordingly. Peak months: July, August, June Avoid: September, October, November, December
Open mid-June to Sept; reviewers note summer as best season with comfortable daytime temps.
