Best season: summer. Summer offers the warmest, most reliable weather and the clearest access by floatplane—daytime highs typically range from about 50–65°F (10–18°C) with long daylight and cool, crisp mornings. This is peak fishing and boating season (silver and trout runs, easy lake access) and the best time for consistent wildlife viewing—bears and eagles are active and visible around the lake and streams. Expect moderate visitor levels (more traffic than shoulder seasons but still remote), frequent bugs in calm, Peak months: July, August, June, September Avoid: January, February, March, April
May–Oct is ice-free window; July–Aug warmest, long daylight, peak season for boating and fishing.
