Best season: summer. Summer offers the most reliable access, warm daytime hiking temperatures (typically 70–85°F) and long daylight for exploring trails, the natural bridge, and Mummy Cave. River fishing and float/wade access are at their peak once spring runoff subsides, and wildlife viewing is excellent in early morning and evening; expect moderate crowds in July–early August but far fewer than in nearby national parks.
