Weather and SeasonsBest season: summer. Summer offers the most reliable access, warm daytime weather (typically mid-60s to mid-80s °F on the lower slopes) and long daylight for horseback rides and hikes into the meadows below Mount Adams. Trails and the adjacent meadow are at their peak — wildflowers, clear mountain views, and easy stock water access make this ideal for horse campers. Expect moderate weekend crowds but plenty of space on weekdays; note mid-to-late summer can bring elevated wildfire risk and occasional afternoon storms
Peak months: July, August, September
Avoid: December, January, February
