Keenes Horsecamp is a 13-site equestrian camp perched at the edge of the Mt. Adams Wilderness in Washington's Cascades. First-come, first-served. The camp provides 26 hi-line posts, a mounting ramp, stock water, and manure bins. Everything needed for horse packing into the wilderness that begins just beyond the campground boundary.

ElevationThe campground sits tucked into the mountains where towering lodgepole pines stretch skyward alongside a diverse mix of high-elevation conifers, creating a cool, fragrant canopy that offers welcome shade during summer rides.
Natural Features and SceneryThe camp sits in high-elevation forest. Lodgepole pine, Douglas fir, mountain hemlock. With the 12,281-foot Mount Adams rising immediately to the south. The wilderness area surrounds the camp on nearly all sides: ancient lava flows, glacial valleys, alpine meadows. Multiple trailheads radiate from camp, including High Lakes Trail #116, Keenes Trail #120, and Muddy Meadows Trail #13. The landscape is raw volcanic terrain shaped by glaciers and eruptions, most of it visible from horseback within an hour's ride.
