This location is available on a first-come, first-served basis only. Visitors are required to physically arrive at the campground to purchase and claim a site. Once on-site, you may be able to pay for your campsite(s) by scanning a QR code using the Recreation.gov mobile app, and the Scan and Pay feature.
If this option is available, you will need to first download the free Recreation.gov mobile app https://www.recreation.gov/mobile-app prior to your arrival as some remote areas have limited or no cellular service.
This campground, on the shores of Ollalie Lake, offers 5 small sites and one larger area with room for RVs. The sites offer scenic views of Mt. Adams from the lake. It’s located in a high elevation stand of lodgepole and subalpine pine. Mosquitos can be numerous in the early season.

Best season: summer. Summer offers the clearest access, the best weather, and the iconic mirror-like views of Mt. Adams on Olallie Lake — perfect for paddling, photography, and alpine camping. Expect daytime highs roughly 55–75°F and cool nights in the 30s–40s°F, with calm mornings that create glassy water reflections; early summer (June–early July) can be buggy, so peak comfort usually arrives in July–August. With only six sites (five tent sites and one RV spot) the campground fills quickly on weekends and holidays Peak months: August, July, September, June Avoid: November, December, January, February
