You want high-elevation fishing and boating with wildflower hikes and don't mind close-set sites.
You need privacy between sites, potable water on-site, or round-the-clock gate access.
Compare with similar sites, watch availability, and build a packing list — Camp Sage handles all of it.
Best season: summer. Summer offers the most reliable access and the best weather at 9,200 ft — expect crisp nights near 40°F and sun-warmed days in the mid-60s to mid-70s, ideal for boating, fishing, and high-alpine hikes. Wildflowers and aspen understory are at their peak, the reservoir is fully fishable and boat ramps are open, and trails are generally clear of snow. Weekends in July and early August are busiest, so plan reservations (site reservations begin June 24) or midweek visits for more solitude. Peak months: July, August, June Avoid: September, October, November, December
Peak season: trails clear, reservoir fishable, wildflowers; pleasant day temps around 60–75°F.

Stateline Campground features a range of amenities designed for camper convenience. The campground includes family sites equipped with picnic tables, campfire rings, and grills. Some sites offer partial lake views. Additionally, drinking water is available (seasonal), vault toilets are provided, and trash collection is managed on-site. Roads and parking spurs within the campground are paved, although the access road is a maintained dirt road. A dump station is located across the road, though some user reviews noted it was closed during their stay. "The sites were fairly clean and the trash was picked up in them, but the restrooms were foul inside," shared one reviewer. Another mentioned, "There was no potable water and the dump station across the road was closed."
