Summer offers the best combination of warm, dry days (highs typically in the mid-60s to upper-70s°F at 7,200 ft) and reliable access to all water-based activities—boating, trout fishing, and waterside relaxation. Mornings are often glassy and excellent for anglers and boaters, while afternoon winds create scenic whitecaps and challenge experienced boaters; evenings cool into the 40s–50s°F, perfect for campfires and stargazing thanks to unobstructed skies.
