Fall offers the nicest combination of comfortable weather, vivid cottonwood color along the spring-fed stream, and excellent wildlife viewing — making it the campground's highlight season. Expect daytime highs around 50–75°F (10–24°C) with crisp nights often dipping into the 30s–40s°F (0–9°C), perfect for hiking, photography, and relaxed campsite evenings. Crowds are generally lighter than mid-summer (weekends still draw locals), and the lower thunderstorm and fire risk makes campfires and long, Peak months: October, September, May, June Avoid: December, January, February

Clover Spring Campground offers a rustic camping experience at 6000 feet elevation, surrounded by forested mountains and cottonwood trees. Key amenities include accessible pit toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings. However, there is no potable water on-site. Campers are advised to treat water from the stream. The campground provides partial shade and supports a quiet and peaceful getaway. Firewood is not available for purchase, and the campground is not recommended for OHV riding.
