With direct OHV trail access and room for trailers up to 24 feet, this hidden gem sits just a mile from the sparkling waters of Letts Lake, blending rugged recreation with natural tranquility.

Natural Features and SceneryThe campground nestles within a beautiful tapestry of towering conifers and hardy chaparral, creating a classic Northern California mountain landscape that shifts with the seasons. Just a mile south, you'll discover the pristine waters of Letts Lake and the peaceful Big Springs Picnic Area, offering easy access to additional recreation and scenic beauty. The surrounding forest provides welcome shade during warm days while the chaparral-covered hillsides add texture and color to your mountain retreat.

Primary recreational use is for off-highway vehicles (OHV), including motorcycles and ATVs; roads, trails, and facilities are developed for OHV users. The site includes OHV-specific regulations and safety requirements: helmets meeting US DOT standards for motorcycle riders on public lands in California; vehicles must be registered with a current Green or Red Sticker or highway license where applicable; Forest Service–approved spark arresters are required; motorcycles/ATVs must meet a state sound requirement of 96 dBA or lower; unlicensed juveniles must be supervised by a licensed adult; and operation under the influence of alcohol or drugs is prohibited. For trail conditions and closures contact the Stonyford Work Center at (530) 963-3128.
