Fall delivers the most comfortable conditions. Daytime highs settle into the 60–80°F range, with cool nights in the 40s–50s. Humidity drops, and mosquitoes retreat. Bass and crappie fishing often peaks in early fall. October and November see the fewest crowds, making it easier to find quiet campsites and calm lake water. Summer brings heat, afternoon thunderstorms, and busier holiday weekends.
