Best season: spring. Spring offers mild, comfortable weather (daytime highs typically 60–80°F, nights 45–60°F) and the best combination of wildflower displays, migrating songbirds, and active fishing as largemouth bass begin their spring spawn. Trails and shoreline are usually in great shape for hiking, wildlife viewing, and launching boats without the intense heat of summer, though weekend crowds increase during April–May. Overall it’s the most pleasant time for multi-activity days (hike, fish, boat, swim) with low Peak months: April, May, October, November
Listed as best season: wildflowers peak and bass spawn, making fishing and views strong.
