<p>Poulous Loop Group offers a rustic camp setting ideal for exploring the area's hunting opportunities. The surrounding forest environment sustains abundant wildlife populations, making it one of the most desirable hunting areas in the state. Families, churches and clubs might like to reserve the camp for reunions, get togethers and campouts. Other recreation opportunities in the area include trail riding, birding and wildlife viewing, berry picking and photography. Nearby, try your hand at fishing the Broad River at the Woods Ferry Picnic Area.</p><p>Poulous Loop Group Camp is available year-round for reservations on <a href="https://www.recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds/10145639">recreation.gov</a>. This camp is reservable as a group site; for 1-29 people the nightly cost is $30 and for 30-100 people the nightly cost is $60. Poulous Loop is available for reservation 12 months out.</p>

Deciduous hardwoods in the Piedmont put on peak color in October–November, trails and forest roads are at their driest, and biting insects drop off, so hiking, biking, and wildlife viewing are at their best. Poulous Loop Group Campground offers a primitive, rustic camping experience in a grassy area shaded by mature pine trees. The campground provides a vault toilet and fire pit as its main amenities. There are no water, electricity, or Wi-Fi services available, and cell coverage is sporadic. The campground loop road is graveled, and there is ample space for RVs, trailers, horse trailers, and tents. The area is also suitable for field games, such as volleyball and corn hole, although campers need to bring their own equipment. Additionally, the campground allows for highlining horses or setting up portable stalls.
