Best season: fall. Fall delivers the campground's standout draw: brilliant hardwood foliage, crisp daytime highs (typically 45–60°F) and cool, clear nights ideal for campfires and stargazing. Hiking and wildlife viewing are at their peak as deer and other mammals become more active and the understory colors intensify, while bugs are largely gone. Because Minister Creek has only six sites, crowds remain modest compared with larger parks, though weekends in late September–October can be busier with leaf-peepers. Peak months: October, September, May, June Avoid: November, December, January, February
Fall is the standout season: intense hardwood color peaking late Sept–Oct; highly praised by reviewers.

Minister Creek Campground offers a range of rustic, basic camping amenities suitable for visitors seeking a quiet and natural experience. The campground features just 6 sites, all first-come, first-served, and offers fire rings and picnic tables at each site. Vault toilets are available at the end of the 6 developed sites, with some reviews describing them as clean and well-maintained. There is no electricity, sewer, or water hookups. Although potable water is available from a hand pump well, it has been described as 'cool and delicious' by one camper. Cell service is notably absent, so preparation for a disconnected stay is advised.
