Trash and long-term campers have frustrated multiple reviewers, the access road beats up bigger rigs, and there's no potable water. Large RVs over 35 feet will struggle with site spacing and road conditions.

Fall is your best bet. Days run 50s to 60s°F, nights drop into the 20s and 30s, and the mosquitoes that swarm in June and July are gone. You'll see more wildlife, especially birds and big game, and fishing stays productive until winter closures. Weekdays are almost empty, though fall hunting seasons bring more traffic to the area. June and July are warm but buggy, so pack serious bug spray if you come then. Winter weather can make the rough access road impassable.
Overview states fall is best: fewer bugs, good wildlife viewing and pleasant temps (50s–60s days).
