Water Canyon Campground is located at 6,800 feet in elevation in the Magdalena Mountains. Amenities include vault toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings with grills available at each campsite. However, potable water is not provided, so visitors must bring their own supply. Cell phone reception is limited, as noted in user reviews: 'Cell phone service (Verizon) essentially non-existent at about 3 miles up Water Canyon Road from Highway 60.' Parking spurs are paved, and the campground is noted for being clean and well-maintained.
