Go if

RV campers who want hookups, showers, and a lake in the middle of New Mexico's flatlands will find the covered shelters and dump station here more comfortable than most state park setups at this price point. Spring is the sweet spot, especially after rain.

Skip if

Details on fishing quality, trail lengths, and boat launch specifics simply aren't documented, so anyone driving 150 miles from Albuquerque or Lubbock specifically for one of those activities is taking a gamble on thin information.
