Summer offers the most reliable access and the best weather for backcountry group camping at 6,300 ft — expect daytime highs in the mid-to-upper 60s°F and crisp nights in the 40s°F. Trails on and near the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail are fully snow-free, making hiking, mountain biking, and wildlife viewing prime activities; wildflowers linger into early July. Quigley Group Use Site is an undeveloped camping area within the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest. It is located at an elevation of 6,300 feet and features one vault toilet as its sole facility. Potable water is not available on-site, and there are no camper hookups. Visitors are advised to bring their own water or arrange for portable toilet delivery for larger groups staying longer.
