Expect daytime highs generally in the 50s–70s°F with crisp nights in the 30s–40s, ideal for campfires and photography without peak-summer crowds. Water recreation and boat access remain good in September, but note the campground’s operating season ends September 30 so plan for an early-fall trip. Peak months: September, August, July, June Avoid: October, November, December, January
Early fall highlighted as best: cooler temps, golden cottonwoods and more solitude.
