Best season: summer. Summer offers the warmest, most reliable weather and the best access to the reservoir for swimming, kayaking, and shoreline fishing — expect daytime highs around 65–80°F and nights in the 40s–50s. With only four campsites, you get high-quality solitude while still enjoying water-based recreation and clear views of snow-capped peaks reflected in the reservoir. Crowds are moderate at peak weekend times but far less than larger area campgrounds; plan midweek visits for maximum quiet. Peak months: July, August, September, June Avoid: December, January, February
Summer is prime for reservoir access, swimming, kayaking and shoreline fishing.
