Medicine Point Lookout provides a unique, rustic experience with limited amenities. The historic "L4" lookout offers a 14x14 ft cabin on a 10-ft tall tower, with a 30-inch catwalk around it. Guests must bring their own water, bedding, towels, soap, toilet paper, and garbage bags, as none are provided. Cooking facilities include a two-burner propane stove and lanterns; however, propane is not included, and guests need to bring their own canisters. Basic cooking utensils and dishes are provided. Heating is available via a wood stove, but guests must cut wood from nearby dead and downed material using the provided ax and bow saw. Trash must be packed out, and the facility has an outdoor toilet with no toilet paper provided.
