Tent campers can't book here, and RVers who need a camp store, laundry, or cell signal will find none. Summer holiday weekends bring noise and parking headaches that reviewers flag repeatedly.

Summer delivers the full range of water activities. Daytime highs run mid-80s to mid-90s°F with humid conditions that make swimming and cooling off in the spring branch appealing. Water hookups and showers operate during the park's on-season, which starts February 25th. Trout fishing stays productive year-round thanks to the cold spring water, though fish bite better in cooler parts of the day. Expect packed campgrounds and parking hassles on summer weekends and holidays. Spring and fall bring better fishing conditions and fewer crowds, though some facilities may close or limit services. Winter turns off water at individual sites, and the park shifts to off-season rates.
Peak season with warm weather, perfect for water activities. Book early.
