No potable water onsite and the closest supplies are roughly 90 miles away in Tofte. If that level of self-sufficiency isn't already how you camp, this site will punish the gap.

This is one of our Backcountry sites which is a near- wilderness single party site and is accessible only by foot or boat. These sites are first come, first served. There is one site on this lake, each have a fire grate, a latrine and may have a picnic table. A few reminders: Hang food packs, put your fire out each time you leave your campsite, treat or boil all water, wash yourself and dishes at least 150ft from any body of water, pack out all garbage and Leave No Trace. Use a Forest Map to locate campsites and accesses.

Summer brings the warmest conditions, with July and August daytime highs around 60–75°F and nights dropping to the 40s–50s. This is when paddling, swimming, and fishing work best, and you get long daylight for stargazing. Black flies and mosquitoes peak early in the season, so bring repellent. The site opens April 15th. Late spring has wildflowers and migrating birds. Early fall turns the forest gold and crimson. Winter conditions make the site inaccessible and inadvisable for all but experienced cold-weather campers.
July–August best for paddling, fishing and warmer temps; peak season.
