Best season: summer. Summer offers warm, stable weather and full lake access — ideal for boating and trout fishing when water temps and insect activity are favorable. Daytime highs typically range from the mid-60s to low 80s °F (18–28 °C) with cool nights in the 40s–50s °F (4–10 °C), making evenings perfect for campfires at the small 13-site campground. Expect the busiest weekends (sites can fill fast) and occasional wildfire smoke or local restrictions during dry years, so check forest alerts before you go. Peak months: July, August, June, September Avoid: December, January, February
Summer is the primary season with mid-60s to low-80s highs and warmest water temps for boating/fishing.
