Best season: fall. Fall offers crisp, comfortable weather (daytime highs typically in the 55–75°F range in October, cooling to 40s–50s at night) and the most striking scenery as hardwood ridges along Allatoona Lake turn gold and crimson. Hiking, wildlife viewing and shoreline fishing are at their peak as humidity drops and skies clear, while lake boating and sunset cruises remain very pleasant through mid-October. Crowds are generally lighter than summer weekend traffic, though early-October weekends can still be忙 Peak months: October, May, September, June Avoid: November, December, January, February
Fall is the standout season: cooler temps, clear skies and vibrant hardwood colors.
