Boaters, paddleboarders, and anglers who want full hookups with room to spread out should look at Clear Fork Loop, newer, level, and spaced out. Staff (ask about Jerry or Will) gets consistent praise, and the sunset views over the mesas are legitimately good.
Water levels fluctuate enough that your 'lakeside' site might not be anywhere near the water, check conditions before booking if that's the draw. Shade-seekers will also struggle; most sites are open and exposed, and the swim beach is small with a rocky shoreline.

Long daylight hours benefit hikers, bikers, and wildlife watchers, though afternoon thunderstorms are possible. Expect more visitors. Reserve campsites and boat ramps ahead of time.
