No potable water on site means hauling everything yourself, and the main area reads more parking lot than campground. Larger RVs will fight the tight roads. Campfires are banned entirely, so gas stoves only.

Early to mid-fall works best here. Daytime temperatures settle into the 65-80°F range with nights in the 40s-50s. The water stays warm enough for swimming and boating, while fish feed actively before winter. Oak and chaparral turn gold and russet. Summer hits 100°F, which means early morning or evening activities make more sense. Winter days hover around 54°F. The dry climate keeps humidity comfortable year-round, though fire risk remains present through late summer.
Early to mid-fall noted as best: mild days, warm water and active fishing.
Potable water is not available at this site.
