Best season: summer. Summer delivers the most reliable weather and full access to Mono Hot Springs (campground open May 23–Sep 13), with warm, sunny days ideal for hiking, fishing, swimming and soaking in the hot springs. Expect daytime highs typically in the mid-60s to mid-80s°F (highs often 70s) and cool nights in the 40s–50s°F, so bring layers for chilly evenings. All services and water-based activities are at their peak, though weekends and holidays can be moderately busy—reservations are recommended. Peak months: July, August, June, September Avoid: October, November, December, January
Open and busiest in summer; reliable warm days (70s–80s) and full access to features.
