No potable water on-site is a hard logistical reality, not a minor inconvenience. A bear is currently active in the area, so strict food storage is required. Reviewers also flag generator noise and occasional neighbor friction on busy weekends.

It has 8 sites, all suitable for tents, with double sites at #7 and #8. Single sites accommodate up to 6 people and 2 vehicles, while double sites allow up to 12 people and 4 vehicles; an extra vehicle fee applies if space permits. The campground operates June through September, with check-in at 2:00 p.m. and check-out at 1:00 p.m. Amenities include vault restrooms, picnic tables, fire rings, garbage disposal, and a campground host; potable water is not available, but lake water nearby requires boiling or filtering. Fees are $30 per single site and $60 per double site, plus $5 for extra vehicles. Campers must store food securely due to bears in the area, keep pets leashed, use only dead and down wood for fires in provided rings or grills, and ensure fires are extinguished with water. The maximum stay is 14 days per district per year. Within 5 miles, Bear River Resort offers restaurant, store, showers, dump station, and boat launch.
