Spring tent campers who want serious LA-area trail access without the crowds will get the most out of this. The Grotto and Mugu Peak trails are right there, wildflowers are out March through May, and the $3-12 nightly fee is hard to beat for coastal SoCal.
It's a single group-style site, so if you want site-number privacy or a solo spot tucked away from others sharing the area, the setup won't deliver. Summer visits also draw mosquitoes, and dogs can't join you on the trails even though they're allowed in camp.

The maximum combined length for vehicles and trailers at Thornhill Broome Campground is 31 feet. The total lengh of the towing vehicle + trailer + hitch/tongue may not exceed 31 feet. Visitors with vehicles AND trailers exceeding a combined total lengh of 31 feet will be denied entry. Refunds will not be issued for camping and/or parking fees.
