Best season: summer. Summer delivers the most comfortable alpine conditions here — warm, sunny days (typically mid-60s to upper-70s°F) and cool nights (30s–40s°F) that are ideal for long hikes, ridge-top camps, and evening stargazing. Streams and springs are still flowing early in the season and wildflowers are at their peak, so wildlife viewing and photography opportunities are excellent. Expect occasional afternoon monsoon storms (July–August) that shorten heat and crowds, but overall summer provides the best mix: Peak months: July, June, September, October
Described as 'best conditions' — mild days (60s–70s) and cool nights ideal for camping.
