Summer offers the most comfortable weather and full services (potable water, trash, staffed fee collection) beginning mid‑May, making Bertha Creek an easy basecamp for Turnagain Arm adventures. Expect daytime highs roughly 50–65°F (10–18°C) with long daylight hours (up to ~18–20 hours in June–July), ideal for hiking, wildlife viewing (moose, eagles, shorebirds and occasional beluga sightings in Turnagain Arm), scenic drives along the Seward Highway, and photography. Crowds are highest on summer, Peak months: July, June, August, May Avoid: December, January, February
