Four years and six canvas tents later, nylon still has one job on our shelf and the Wawona is what does it. We pull it out for winter rain trips, when canvas takes too long to dry, and for walk-in sites where hauling canvas is not worth it. The near-vertical walls are the reason it earns the space: real standing room without the weight or the drying time.
For three-season car camping we have not slept in a nylon family tent in years. That is not a knock on this one. It is the tent we keep for the trips canvas is wrong for.
