Whether you choose an electric or non-electric site beneath the forest canopy, you'll find yourself perfectly positioned to explore Boley Lake, the dramatic Manns Creek Gorge trails, and the legendary attractions of nearby New River Gorge.

Historical Significance
The park contains Civilian Conservation Corps–era development and the fully functional Glade Creek Grist Mill (a replica assembled from antique mill parts), making it a notable New Deal–era and Appalachian cultural site.Weather and SeasonsPlan your visit between late spring and early fall (May through October) when the campground welcomes guests from mid-April through late October. Spring awakens the forest with rushing creeks and wildflowers, though trails may be muddy and waters high. Summer brings peak camping season with warm days perfect for exploration, while fall steals the show with spectacular foliage that draws visitors from across the region. The campground closes for winter, so you'll need to time your adventure accordingly.
