This location is available on a first-come, first-served basis only. Visitors are required to physically arrive at the campground to purchase and claim a site. Once on-site, you may be able to pay for your campsite(s) by scanning a QR code using the Recreation.gov mobile app, and the Scan and Pay feature.

Summer offers the most reliable access and the warmest, creekside camping — expect warm days (roughly mid-60s to mid-80s °F) and cool nights (40s–50s °F) that make creekside hangs and day hikes comfortable. Trail conditions are at their best for exploring backcountry routes from the horse camp, and the creek provides a pleasant soundtrack and place to cool off after a ride or hike. Crowds are moderate on weekend days because the site is only 10 campsites and first-come, first-served, so weekday/ Peak months: July, August, June, September Avoid: December, January, February
