Best season: summer. Summer offers the best combination of reliably mild weather and full access to the riverside sites — daytime highs average around 70–75°F with nights cooling to about 45–50°F, ideal for swimming, river fishing, and day hikes. The campground’s small size (7 single + 1 double site) makes it peaceful even at peak season, but sites are limited and often fill quickly, so reservations (open May 16–Sept 1) are recommended. Summer is also when river flows are generally lower and safer for wading and pic Peak months: July, August, June Avoid: September, October, November, December
Summer is peak season; cooler river waters, fishing and tubing are popular per reviews.
