Best season: fall. Fall delivers the most comfortable daytime temperatures and the best light for photographing the Paria Plateau’s red-orange layers, with typical highs in the 60s–70s°F and crisp nights in the 30s–40s. Trail conditions are dry and ideal for long hikes, slot-canyon exploration (when no storms are in the forecast), and mountain biking, while crowds are moderate — weekends fill quickly but weekday solitude is common at an eight-site campground. Fall also avoids peak summer heat and monsoon risks, so Peak months: October, November, April, May Avoid: July, August
Fall is most comfortable: daytime highs 60s–70s°F, cool nights; highly recommended season.
