Best season: summer. Summer offers the most reliable access and the warmest, driest conditions—daytime highs typically range from the mid-60s to mid-80s°F (18–30°C) with cool nights in the 30s–50s°F (2–10°C). Trails, canyon viewpoints, and geology are easiest to enjoy then, and wildflowers from late June into July brighten the canyon walls; stargazing is excellent on clear nights. Crowds are generally moderate to low because Spring Campground is rustic and self-sufficient, but be prepared for afternoon thunderstorms Peak months: July, August, September, June Avoid: December, January, February
