Solo or family campers expecting individual sites will find nothing here. No showers, no hookups, no dump station, and trail blazing is poor enough that navigation without a downloaded map becomes a real problem.
Compare with similar sites, watch availability, and build a packing list — Camp Sage handles all of it.
Fall delivers the best mix of conditions. Daytime highs run mid-40s to mid-60s°F, nights drop into the 30s and 40s, and the hardwood canopy puts on a reliable color show. Trails stay firm, creek-side fishing is comfortable in cooler water, and weekday mornings offer solid solitude. Summer reaches 86°F with humidity that makes shaded creek areas more appealing than open meadows. Winter drops to around 28°F. Cold enough for frost-edged morning hikes but generally mild by Pennsylvania standards. Spring brings wildflowers and moderate temperatures, though trail conditions can be muddy.
Fall cited as best season: reliable hardwood color show and pleasant temps.

Evansburg State Park provides a variety of amenities, particularly catering to day-use visitors and group campers. The facility list includes ADA parking, cross-country skiing, fire rings, first aid stations, fishing piers, grills, hiking trails, mountain biking, organized group tenting, a park office, parking areas, pavilions, picnic tables, playgrounds, potable water, restrooms, and horse trails. Several reviews highlight the practicality of these amenities, though some inconsistencies are noted. For example, Sarah R mentions, 'The main parking lot has picnic tables and a clean bathroom that has always had soap and toilet paper whenever I've visited.' However, AshAragam2000 points out, 'Be sure to use [the visitor parking lot restrooms] before starting off as otherwise, restrooms are mostly non-existent,' indicating limited restroom availability beyond the main parking lot.
