Best Time to Camp at North Newell Creek Natural Crup Campground

Open throughout the year, this campground reveals its personality with each season—summer offers warm days perfect for creek-side lounging and forest wandering, while autumn paints the vine maples in brilliant orange and red against the evergreen backdrop. Winter and spring transform the area into a misty, rain-kissed wonderland ideal for those who love the moody, quiet side of the Pacific Northwest (just pack your rain gear and warm layers). Before heading out, check for any seasonal road conditions or access updates, especially during winter months when western Oregon weather can be unpredictable.
