Best Time to Camp at Fern Hill Forest Natural Sup Campground

Fern Hill doesn't close its gates when the weather gets interesting—and in Oregon, interesting is pretty much guaranteed. Summer delivers those perfect forest days where dappled sunlight makes everything look like a fantasy novel cover, while spring carpets the trails with wildflowers between rain showers. Fall sets the understory ablaze with color, and winter? Winter is for the bold, offering fog-draped mornings so atmospheric you'll feel like you've stepped into another world entirely. Whatever season calls to you, pack layers and rain gear—the forest keeps its own schedule, and sunshine can turn to drizzle faster than you can say "Douglas fir."
