No water, no fire rings, no trash pickup, and a washboard road that regularly defeats low-clearance vehicles. If broken glass on the ground, free-roaming cattle, and bear country without a food hang system aren't things you've planned for, this one will frustrate you fast.

It has spaces for camping, tents and small trailers and as no water is usually available, there is no charge for the use of this site. July and August see brief afternoon monsoon showers that can be dramatic but usually pass quickly. Winter transforms the landscape with occasional snow, adding beauty but making the already rough access road more challenging. The dry climate and high elevation create excellent stargazing conditions on clear nights.
Summer offers most reliable access and comfortable temps (65–85°F), though afternoon monsoons occur.

Trash and recycling facilities are not provided; visitors must pack out all waste.
